This celluloid purse has a delightful owl. The juxtaposition of the small head and large wings creates a whimsical effect. The applied color also contributes to the overall appearance. The bag is crewel embroidery. Crewel embroidery has a long history stretching back to the Bayeux Tapestry. This is another great piece from Australian celluloid purse collectors Mike and Lizzie.
